Amy Fischer
As a busy mom of two, Amy intimately understands the challenges that business owners face. She believes that setting up a business for success begins with establishing robust policies and procedures, which she emphasizes in her writings. Through her books and ebooks, Amy imparts her knowledge and teaches financial literacy, business basics, and tax reduction strategies to motivated individuals and aspiring entrepreneurs.
Amy's journey in the tax industry started early in her career when she joined her father's firm in Idaho. Her dedication and expertise quickly earned her a partnership, and she successfully managed the Idaho office. In pursuit of further education, Amy moved to Oregon in 2009 to obtain a degree in Sign Language Interpreting from William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri. While studying, she obtained her license as a tax preparer (LTP) in Oregon and subsequently became an Enrolled Agent (EA), allowing her to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. Continuing her pursuit of professional excellence, Amy obtained the designation of Licensed Tax Consultant (LTC) in Oregon. She further enhanced her credentials by becoming a member of the American Institute of Certified Tax Planners and earning the Certified Tax Planner (CTP) certification. Additionally, she obtained certification as a Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI). She moved to Connecticut in 2018, where she resides now with her family and maintains and operates the business from three locations, Idaho, Oregon, and Connecticut, serving clients throughout the United States.
Amy's commitment to learning is evident as she constantly seeks to broaden her knowledge in a variety of topics. Her passion for teaching and problem-solving extends beyond her publications, as she actively engages with her company and clients. Amy thrives on unraveling complex "tax puzzles" and tailoring the correct concepts to meet the unique needs and desires of each client.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Amy finds joy in traveling and spending quality time with her family. Her fluency in American Sign Language showcases her dedication to inclusivity, while her enthusiasm for learning new languages and exploring other cultures underscores her curiosity and open-mindedness.
